hpsum: how get out of INSTALL state

I'm trying to use hpsum CLI to downgrade some firmware on a bl870c i2.

How do I get my node out of the INSTALL state and UserActionNeeded_phase?

(this forum interface really sucks: I can't use ctrl-v to paste anything.)

# hpsum inventory --nodes aa.bb.cc.dd --baselines /usr/local/bl870ci2_26.41

Inventory in progress ...

Failed to inventory on node aa.bb.cc.dd. <Cannot perform the operation now. Reason: Node is in INSTALL state and UserActionNeeded phse>

rx7640 not showing all 4 internal disks

Hi All,

im having the following issue with an rx7640 server in fact, i need to install 11iv3 on this newly acquired server however, at early boot stages the server is only showing/detecting 2 internal disks from 4 overall. Even at EFI shell it is only showing 2 disks. It s the case of a single partition with 2 cell boards. I already checked the components (ps commands etc ...) and nothing seems to be weird. Any hint please that can help me to start the hardware troubleshooting?

HP-UX rx2660 - IO Type : MPT Domain Validation IO has timed-out.

Dears,

I just noticed an abnormality on one of storges (HP MSA 30) that is connected to a HP rx2660 server via SCSI cables, there were no any amber LED on the storage disks, but strange behaviour.

It's like: first, the 7 disks (from left) blinks green for a second and turn off, and then the 7 disks (from right) do green blink. it happen repeatedly!

HP MSA 30 has no any controller and is configured as JBOD, so I start take a look at the server for finding any useful logs:

Hi,

How can I monitor a HP RX2660 to get CPU Temperature and other ?

Normally I have to use the iLO2 MP LAN port, no ? I can't access at 127.0.0.1 (connection refused). 

If it's possible, I would like to use Nagios and SNMP protocol but I don't have the MIB file.

I've to 2 HP server DL380p Gen8 and DL380 Gen9

Both can ssh to iLo on DL380p Gen8 but cannot ssh to DL380 Gen9

The use is created when boot the server and enter iLo config and the password is correct for sure.

When I tried to ssh it fail with message

 

Permission denied (publickey,gssapi-keyex,gssapi-with-mic,password).

Hi

I acces to my HP_UX rx2800 System Management Homepage, in the Event Viewer tab shows  one Power supply AC lost and the Power supply subsystem redundancy lost. But it isn´t show the "Power supply subsystem redundancy regained." And i see that the 2 power supplies led are green.

 

I have another rx 2800 that shows more power supply losts and regained. They share powerline

How can I reset the power events in the SMH?

I have a rx7640 with 2 internal drive attach to eva4400 with a qlogic AB379B FC card.  Both mirror internal drive on my rx7640 died.  I would like to install the o/s on the eva, both I don't know what to do to see the eva prior the o/s load?  Any help would be appreciated.

Hello I'm on a hp integrity rx7460 ( I know it's a old machin).

My goal is to prepare this server for a customer. I mean installing HP-UX 11 v3, configure auto boot after power failure.

the drama: with my laptop I can access MP via the MP LAN port, But I'm not finding the way to acces the EFI and proceeed to the OS installation.

Is there somebody who can help me? I thought ther was a way to procced to OS installation though the MP.

Please I really need help.

hi there,

recently, I downloaded HPE One View for vmware vCenter (OV4VC) v8.1 and  deployed its OVA.

everything at installation goes fine, and also adding vcenter and storages was straight forward.

but, at configuration step, I found out that its plug-in did not add to vcenter.

I have one vcenter 6.5 and one PSC.

no Error occured in no steps..

besides, all vcenter, ESXi servers, PSC and OV4VC have the same NTP configuration.

please help me know how I can add its plugin to vcenter,

Where does sfmlog gets its information from?

When I run getsysinfo on Intergrity RX2800 I4 servers, it captures the SFMLOG to a text file. Could the information stored in SFM be old so if the OS is reloaded, a getsysinfo would show old Power Supply Failure Messages, Firmware update failure Messages, etc?

Been a while since I installed server firmware.  What is the current best practice for updating firmware on a rx2800 i4?

Do I use SUM or put the FW on a memory stick and plug it into the server.  Would be nice to be able to update firmware remotely as I have servers all over the world.
